On Friday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Richard Coles and Coleen Rooney were tasked with the Bushtucker Trial known as Dreaded Dregs. The duo was informed that they’d be tackling a unique drinking challenge complete with unexpected twists.
Presenters Ant and Dec guided Richard and Coleen through the ordeal, explaining that they would be pitted against each other in some of the drink-related games, with a penalty awaiting the loser. A total of six stars were up for grabs, each representing a meal for their fellow campmates, alongside an extra bonus star which would secure a chosen beverage for each of them to enjoy back at camp.
Richard mused, “I’m trying to think of the biggest free drink I could possibly have. I’d have 14 pints of cider,” to which Coleen declared, “I’ll have a bottle of rose please!”
The first part involved ‘spin the bottle’; the contestant it pointed to would chug the corresponding concoction to earn a star. When it was Coleen’s turn, she was faced with ‘Boar’s light’, a ghastly mix made from pig’s testicles, which she likened to a “It looks like a milky coffee.”
Undeterred and with determination etched on her face, Coleen swiftly downed the drink, earning admiration from Ant who exclaimed, “She just gets on with it doesn’t she!” With spirits high and Richard’s encouragement spurring her on, she conquered the challenge and gained one star for the camp, reports Plymouth Live.
The second round was ‘flip cup’, where they had six cups filled with blended cockroaches in front of them. They had to drink each one in order, then flip the cup they’d drunk from before moving on to the next. The slowest participant would receive a forfeit.
Coleen started off strong, quickly drinking and flipping the first three cups, while Richard struggled initially with flipping his first cup. However, he soon caught up and it became a close competition with both on their final cup.
Richard managed to flip his last cup before Coleen, winning the round and leaving Coleen with the forfeit. As they both successfully finished all six cups, they won an additional 2 stars for camp.
The forfeit meant that Coleen had to face round three alone, which consisted of six shots that she needed to finish to win the star. She quickly downed the first three shots named: ‘slippery nipple’ before moving on to the final three ‘flaming sampoocas’.
The fourth round was beer pong, where they had to throw a ball into the other person’s cup to make them drink it. Coleen was the first to score, meaning Richard had to drink blended sheep’s penis. She scored twice in a row, forcing Richard to drink the second beverage as well. After finishing both drinks, he won two more stars for camp.
For the final bonus round, a gruesome fishbowl cocktail emerged, containing a stomach-churning blend of giant mealworms, fermented herring, crocodile anus, and vomit fruit. Ant warned: “It’s the worst of the worst.”
Repulsed, Coleen covered her mouth, gagging at the stench, which she likened to “every dirty thing going”. Richard, however, stepped up and downed the vile concoction alone, prompting Dec to exclaim: “I’ve never seen anything like that!”
Ant chimed in: “Oh my god. The man’s a machine!” The trial ended on a high note, with the camp winning all six stars and earning each campmate a drink of their choice.
