Morrisons has announced a cracking deal on 1L bottles of Baileys, reducing the price to just £8.50 for the festive season. This limited-time offer is exclusively for customers in England and Wales.

From December 6 to December 12, Morrisons More Card members can snap up this deal at their local Morrisons store. The bottle, usually priced at £13, is limited to one per person.

To bag this fantastic bargain, Morrisons More cardholders must spend a minimum of £45 in-store. Please note that this offer is not valid in Morrisons cafes, on Morrisons.com or Amazon Groceries, at Morrisons Petrol Filling Stations or Morrisons Daily.

This comes as other supermarkets such as Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Asda have also reduced the price of Baileys to just £10. The creamy liquor-based drink is a popular choice during the holiday season, but a one-litre bottle can cost over £15 if not purchased on offer.

However, to make these savings, you will need to hold each of the respective stores’ loyalty cards. For instance, without a Tesco Clubcard, the liquor would cost £22 instead of £10,

Typically, £10 is the lowest price most supermarkets will reduce the booze to – however, prices and deals can fluctuate daily. Costco is currently selling one-litre bottles of the Irish drink for £9.99.

Baileys Irish Cream, a beloved liqueur crafted from a mix of Irish whiskey and cream, was birthed in 1974 by the Irish firm Gilbeys of Ireland, a branch of International Distillers and Vintners (IDV). The creation was designed as an innovative method to promote Irish dairy products and whiskey.

The brainchild of David Gluckman and Hugh Seymour-Davies, they toyed with the idea of merging Irish whiskey and cream. To ensure a product that could withstand time on the shelf, they joined forces with a group of food scientists, striking the perfect harmony between whiskey and cream.
