Strictly Come Dancing fans have clocked a hint that might spell the end for a cherished contestant.

The dazzling series dazzled viewers once again on Saturday night (December 7), showcasing its highly anticipated semi-final. Presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman were at the ready to reintroduce the surviving celebrities.

Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas were the couple bowing out last week, coming up short in a dance-off against Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec. Remaining in the competition for a coveted place in next week’s finale are Pete Wicks, JB Gill, Tasha, Chris McCausland, and Sarah Hadland.

But viewers quickly expressed discontent after noticing that Tasha and Aljaz had drawn the first performance slot, commonly dubbed by fans as the ‘death slot’.

As Tasha and Aljaz took to the stage with a stunning waltz to Girls Aloud’s “Something New,” concerns surged over Tasha’s likely departure for opening the night’s performances, reports the Mirror. A viewer lamented on Twitter: “Reading that Tasha is in the death slot… F*** THIS SHOW man. Why are they doing everything to protect Pete.”

Another troubled fan commented: “Tasha in the death slot? Interesting..” Another fan suggested foul play, critiquing Tasha’s new hairstyle choice of bouncy curls and questioning, “Why have they dressed Tasha up stupidly? Hope they aren’t setting her up.”

Indeed, Tasha’s appearance certainly sparked conversation among viewers. One fan commented: “I’m completely distracted by Tasha’s hair.” Another admirer enthused: “Loving the hair Tasha! ” A third wrote: “I’m OBSESSED with Tasha’s look tonight. Shout-out to Hair makeup and costume team.”

Despite fans’ apprehension, Tasha’s performance was a hit with the judges. Anton Du Beke highlighted her “brilliant technical quality and expression. ” Craig Revel Horwood commended the duo’s “phenomenal” lifts. The judges later awarded them an impressive score of 35 points.

Strictly Come Dancing airs every Saturday on BBC One and iPlayer.
