We don’t always like change, but sometimes it can be good for us.
After years of gruelling hours as a flight attendant, and scrimping to save every penny, Alanna Pow finally achieved her dream of owning her first property – a goal that once seemed unattainable.
However, the journey to homeownership was far from smooth for the Australian beauty, who recently shared how her unique “spicy side hustle” enabled her to take charge of her finances and secure a brighter future.
Despite years of flying high and diligently saving her flight attendant salary, putting her social life on hold to reach her goal, she found herself up against Australia’s competitive property market.
“I was doing everything right, but the numbers just weren’t adding up,” Alanna confessed. “I realised that if I wanted to grow my property portfolio and still enjoy my life, I needed to think outside the box.”
In 2023, Alanna bravely decided to start an OnlyFans page, using the platform as a means to supplement her income. By sharing a blend of glamorous and exclusive content with her growing fan base, she quickly found success.
Alanna, 21, recounted her time as a flight attendant before her career change, saying: “I worked as a flight attendant for 2.5 years. I remember getting on a flight once and just thinking it would be so great to be a flight attendant.
“When I applied for the role I was 19, and it was just after lockdown, so I didn’t think I would get it, but I studied hard for the interview and was surprised when I got it.”
Speaking about why she left the role, she added: “It was just getting too much – all the gossip and the rumours. My management always calling me in for meetings.
“I had three letters of allegation against me and always felt picked on. If there was a line up of people for uniform checks, I was always the one that got pulled up, even if everyone else’s weren’t up to standard.
“It was always just me. It might have been my Instagram posts, but it just seemed like they did not like me. I definitely miss all the girls and guys I made friends with through flying.
“I became close with a lot of them and it was so much fun. I literally have no regrets and I’m still friends with heaps of the girls.”
About 18 months into her flying career, Alanna found herself with a dwindling bank account, and a mortgage from an apartment she had purchased. To make ends meet, she took on a second job in retail, working tirelessly every day.
However, the retail work began to conflict with her flight schedule, forcing her to quit, but she still had a mortgage to cover. In response, Alanna secretly started an online page of a risqué nature, sharing the link with people who messaged her directly.
Despite the exposure, her parents remain unaware of her online activities, which she finds a little “wild”. She attributes her success on the platform to her naturally curvy figure, which she says is popular with men, allowing her to thrive.
“It’s turned my world upside down in a good way,” she added. “I never thought I’d be able to say, ‘Oh, maybe I can actually pay my mortgage off in a few years’, instead of it being a 30-year loan, which is insane.
“Like, my mum is still paying off her mortgage, and she’s around 60, and the fact that I could do it sooner is just insane. I’m so grateful. I can travel when I need to – like when I had to go to Turkey.
“I was dying after my nose job and BBL, lying in my hospital bed and I was like ‘I’m not flying economy home’. So, I literally went on my laptop and booked a $6,000 (£3,101.57) business class seat.
“It was insanely expensive, but worth it. The fact that I could even do that was insane. I feel so lucky.”
