PRINCETON, W.Va. – After reaching the Class AAA state championship in 2023, the No. 1 seed Princeton Tigers had the chance to get back to the game in the state semifinals, just needing a win against the No. 4 seed Herbert Hoover Huskies.
However, things did not start out hot for the Tigers in the blistering cold, as the Huskies led 7-0 after a quarter and 14-0 at the end of the half. In the second half, it got even bleaker once the Huskies got up 21-0. However, the Tigers put two scoring drives together after to make it 21-12. In the end though, Princeton’s comeback falls short, losing 35-12.
