Coronation Street’s Jacob Roberts has teased the next “evil” scheme of his character, Kit Green.
Jacob Roberts, who recently joined the cast of Coronation Street, portrays Bernie’s (Jane Hazlegrove) long-lost son, Kit Green. Bernie had given up Christopher ‘Kit’ Green for adoption nearly three decades ago, and in May 2024, she finally managed to locate him.
Bernie’s twins Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash) were shocked to discover they had another sibling.
Since arriving on the scene, Kit has become a staple on the street, stirring up significant trouble. He’s been instrumental in causing Beth Tinker (Lisa George) to depart from the street and played a part in the dissolution of Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) and Daisy’s (Charlotte Jordan) relationship.
Audiences got to see a different side of Kit after the heartbreaking death of his brother Paul in September, who had been diagnosed with MND (Motor Neurone Disease) the previous year and sadly succumbed to the illness, reports Plymouth Live.
However, Kit has been causing quite a stir lately. This week saw him getting intimate with Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), amidst her domestic issues with husband David (Jack P. Shepherd).
Following the breakup of Ryan and Daisy, Kit wasted no time pursuing Daisy. They went on a date earlier this week, which ended in conflict.
It appears that Kit isn’t looking to clean up his act any time soon. In a discussion with Plymouth Live and various other media outlets, actor Jacob, known for his role as Kit, unveiled the character’s sinister upcoming tactics as “evil” and “manipulative”. Former Hollyoaks star Jacob was probed about Kit’s dynamic with Daisy and he divulged: “I think he gets turned on by the fact that she likes to play games, as he does as well.”
Regarding whether Kit is in search of stability and a real connection, Jacob remarked: “I think so. I think he’s scared of opening up, to someone who doesn’t deserve it.”
Shedding light on Kit’s entanglement with Daisy, Jacob continued: “He’s opening himself up in a different way.”
In elucidating further, Jacob revealed Kit’s next dark strategy, expressing: “He’s [Kit] sort of blaming things on Paul if he does get emotional, or does something wrong. So he starts to go down that route which is quite evil I suppose, and manipulative.”
