The Royal Family are known for their array of hidden talents, from photography to cooking and even drumming. However, it seems Princess Charlotte has inherited a unique talent from her great grandmother, the late Queen.
The young royal is not only a keen dancer like her grandmother, Princess Diana, but she also shares the late Queen’s knack for impressions, which often left dinner guests ‘in stitches’.
Royal author Phil Dampier revealed that Charlotte enjoys imitating famous faces and characters, much to her family’s amusement, reports the Mirror.
He said: “I’m told Charlotte has also inherited from the late Queen a brilliant ability to mimic prominent figures. That should come in handy at Christmas when the royals gather in the evening at Sandringham to play charades.”
He then continued: “Queen Elizabeth used to have her family in stitches with her impersonations of politicians, including US Presidents and former Russian leader Boris Yeltsin.”
Broadcaster Gyles Brandeth once praised the Queen’s talent for imitation on the Right Royal Podcast, revealing that she “could do regional accents from all over the country”.
When she’s not busy mimicking her grandmother’s playful antics, Princess Charlotte is often seen honing her dance skills. The dance-enthusiast royal loves to show off her favourite moves to songs by artists like Taylor Swift, whom she had the chance to see live earlier this year.
Charlotte was overjoyed when she and her brother Prince Louis visited the Strictly Come Dancing set in 2023, and again when she witnessed a breathtaking performance of Swan Lake at the London Coliseum. Besides dancing and her knack for impressions, Charlotte also enjoys cooking, often seen preparing sweet treats with her mum, Kate Middleton.
It’s also rumoured that she has developed an interest in tennis, having accompanied her mother to Wimbledon earlier this year during Kate’s cancer treatment.
