Danny Jones was forced to make a major change to his appearance just hours after winning I’m A Celebrity.. Get Me Out of Here!.
He was crowned this year’s king of the jungle after three weeks in camp. He beat Coleen Rooney to the top spot while Reverend Richard Coles come in third.
At the time, McFly’s Danny became emotional when hosts Ant and Dec revealed him as the winner as he said: “It feels amazing, I can’t even talk.”
Following his big win, the star appeared on Monday’s (December 9) episode of ITV Lorraine show, live from Austrian via a video link.
While opening up the support he received from his wife, Georgia Horsley, she went on to make a surprise appearance.
Lorraine started off by saying: “Georgia your lovely wife was here before talking about how proud she was of you.” The TV host then pointed out: “I know she’s with you isn’t she. I bet she was so excited to see you.”
Danny had a huge smile on his face as he replied: “Yes she is here.” Lorraine asked: “Tell her to say hello, I would love to see her, if she is ok with that.”
Georgia appeared on screen and revealed that Danny returned back with a new look as he grew a beard while in the jungle and his first moustache choice didn’t go down well with his wife.
She revealed: “I mean it’s weird, it’s weird seeing him. He came back with a full beard and I’ve never seen him like that before so that was different but then he decided to shave it into a handle bar moustache.”
Everyone burst out laughing as Lorraine joked: “Right I’m not sure about that but never mind.” Turning to his wife, Danny jumped in and added: “She wasn’t sure either Lorraine, it wasn’t getting me anywhere.”
Moving the conversation, Danny admitted that he was ‘overwhelmed’ after winning the ITV reality show as he said he was grateful that his fans saw a different side to him.
He added: “I feel overwhelmed and I was trying to explain it’s like when people buy tickets to your show. I’m always amazed by it because it’s like ‘wow this many people have paid to see me’ and the fact that so many people voted for me to be king, I am shocked and I will forever be thankful.
“I feel like I’ve connected with the UK and everyone at home in a different way than usual. When they are voting for me for just being myself it feels really rewarding so thank you everyone so much.”
Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV and ITVX
