A woman who was killed after being savaged by a dog at a flat in Aberdeen has been named and pictured.
Michelle McLeod, 41, was pronounced dead at a flat in Foresterhill Road around 11.15pm on Saturday, December 7, after emergency services were alerted to the incident.
Police Scotland confirmed that the beast, believed to be an American Bulldog, has since been euthanised.
Her family has released the following statement: “We are devastated by the loss of Michelle.
“She was a much-loved mother, daughter and friend to many and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
“We would like to ask that our privacy is respected and allow us to grieve at this very difficult time.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with any concerns can speak to these officers.”
