Police investigating an assault on the Glasgow subway have released the CCTV image of a man who could assist their enquiries.

The assault took place on board a subway train between the St Enoch Square and Kelvinbridge stations, Glasgow, on Friday, August 2, 2024, at around 1pm. Officers believe that the male shown in the images may have information that could assist them.

The CCTV still has been released by British Transport Police to urge the male or any members of the public who recognise him to contact police. The man is described as black, around 5ft 10” in height, aged between 20 and 30 years of age and of medium build. He was wearing a black jacket, jogging trousers, white trainers, and a white top with a salmon coloured collar.

Anyone with information is urged to contact British Transport Police by text on 61016 or calling them on 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference 240097122. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be passed anonymously.
