A man was treated at the scene following a fire in Ayrshire this morning (Tuesday, December 10).

Emergency services were called shortly before 8am to the incident at a home on Habbieauld Road, Kilmaurs.

Three fire and rescue crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene alongside crews from the Scottish Ambulance Service.

One man was treated at the scene as the fire was extinguished and fire crews ensured the area was safe.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.47am on Tuesday, December 10, to reports of a fire within a domestic property on Habbieauld Road in Kilmaurs.

“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances to the scene. One casualty was treated by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“Crews have now left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service at 7.50am to attend an incident on Habbieauld Road, Kilmaurs.

“We dispatched one ambulance and our special operations team. We treated one male patient at the scene.”
