Rangers return to Europa League action full of confidence – and a packed Ibrox will now believe that they can shock Spurs.

Former Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou is under serious pressure at the Premier League side after a ropey start to the campaign that sees them sitting 11th in the table – and he will know he can’t afford to slip-up in Glasgow. But it’s less than a month since Spurs put four past reigning English champions Manchester City in their own back yard and, although winless since then, the London club will still go into the tie as hot favourites – and with a squad packed full of talent.

After a difficult start to the campaign, Rangers have hit form in recent weeks – with a terrific run of four straight victories starting on matchday five when they triumphed 4-1 away from home against French side Nice. Despite sitting 11 points behind arch rivals Celtic in the table, Philippe Clement’s men have impressed already in the Europa League – with a home defeat to Lyon the only blot on their copybook so far.

The stage is set for a pulsating encounter, and Record Sport can ensure that you don’t miss a moment of the action.

Team news

Rangers have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game, with Neraysho Kasanwirjo remaining sidelined long-term and Tom Lawrence returning to light training – but remaining out. Oscar Cortes is also back in training, but also unlikely to feature – whilst the game will also come too soon for Rabbi Matondo, who hasn’t featured since September. Danilo and Hagi are out due to not being named in the Europa League squad for this stage of the competition.

Spurs meanwhile have a host players ruled out. First choice keeper Guglielmo Vicario remains sidelined with a broken ankle, meaning former Celtic man Fraser Forster will likely start between the sticks. The Italian is joined in the treatment room by Cristian Romero, Richarlison, Wilson Odobert and Ben Davies. But Micky van de Ven and Brennan Johnson could play a part.
