Police are appealing for information after a 13-year-old was seriously assaulted in Moodiesburn
The teenage boy was attacked by a group of youths between 8.15pm and 8.40pm on Friday, December 6 near Glenburn Avenue and the shops in Glenmanor Avenue.
The group were described as being between 12 and 20 years old, and were all wearing dark clothing with hoods up and had their faces covered.
Detectives in Coatbridge are particularly interested in talking to a woman who came to the 13-year-old’s aid.
Detective Constable Craig Hartley of CID, said: “Our investigation in this serious assault is ongoing.
“We are reviewing CCTV footage and carrying out door-to-door enquiries to identify those responsible. I would appeal to motorists who were in the area and have dash-cam footage to come forward, you may have captured something that can assist our enquiries.
“We are keen to trace a woman who came to the aid of the victim. She took him home before he went to hospital for treatment. It’s important that she comes forward to assist our investigation.”
