Police said the victim was shot multiple times before being transported to a hospital.
AUSTIN, Texas — One person was injured after a shooting early Friday morning in East Austin, according to police.
An Austin Police Department (APD) supervisor said the incident happened around 4 a.m. on Thrasher Lane, not far from Montopolis Drive and Highway 183.
The victim was shot in the roadway and suffered multiple gunshot wounds before being taken to a hospital, police said. Their condition remains unknown.
There are no suspects in custody as detectives continue to investigate the shooting.
