The rising cost of groceries can be a significant burden, particularly for larger families where preparing daily meals can quickly become expensive.

However, one woman revealed a ‘secret supermarket‘ that could make life much easier and more affordable for those “on Universal Credits,” thanks to its bargain deals.

TikTok user @rhianonelizabeth disclosed the existence of a shop “called the Company Shop that is literally so cheap and it’s for people on Universal Credit,” she highlighted items such as bottles of Prime for just 75p.

She also showcased a range of branded products priced at just 40p and 50p, significantly lower than their recommended retail price. “There is honestly no supermarket that can compare to this shop,” she enthused, explaining she initially visited for “some baking stuff” but felt compelled to share the incredible bargains available.

Rhianon announced: “Next week I’m gonna do a big shop here ’cause honestly, I tried showing you everything in this video, but there’s just so much stuff, so I really couldn’t,” as she displayed some condiments priced at less than half what you’d pay in your local supermarket.

Robinsons Jelly Pots were available for just 35p, compared to 65p elsewhere, and Sunpat Peanut Butter Spread was priced at only £1, compared to £2.80. While the savings might not seem substantial individually, they can add up significantly over a large shop.

“It’s name-brand stuff,” Rihanon revealed, exclaiming: “Look at that! Cadbury chocolate icing for a quid.”

However, she didn’t end up buying that, instead opting for the “ended up getting the Unicorn Cupcake Mix and the decorating icing”. As if the incredible discounted food wasn’t enough, they also stock “skincare stuff”, with brands such as Nivea and C-Lab on display.

“Honestly, today I will mostly window shop it, but I can’t wait to come back next week when I have more money,” she confessed. “They basically have everything; they even have a whole frozen food section. Also, kids can eat free at the cafe. Last time we came, the kids ate for free and I got a jacket potato and beans for a quid,” Rhianon shared.

In response to her post, one person commented: “Community shop is only for people on benefits, but almost anyone can get a membership to company shop; I love it”. According to the Company Shop’s terms and conditions, they “offer membership to those in receipt of a means-tested benefit who live local to the store”.

They further clarify: “To ensure that all members can benefit from shopping at our stores, we may limit the number of products you can buy each day. If you exceed this limit, we will tell you at the point of sale in-store.”
