Strictly Come Dancing fans were left all saying the same thing as the winners were revealed on Saturday night.
The four remaining couples all took to the dancefloor for the final time on December 14 in a bid to try and impress judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke as well as viewers watching at home.
However, only one couple could be crowned champions and it was Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell who took home the prestigious glitterball trophy as the competition ended in style.
After hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkelman announced the names of the winners, fans rushed to their keyboards to discuss the results.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “So happy for Chris and Dianne. He’s an inspiration for everyone and Dianne has been amazing with how she has been able to teach him. They both deserve this so much #Strictly
Another added: YESSSS! Best winners ever!. I am sobbing.” A third person agreed: “OMG I am so happy for Chris & Dianne such worthy winners, they are amazing! The best Strictly final, I’m in bits here.” While a fourth social media user said: “Honestly one of the best Strictly finales in years – incredibly moving performances all round and the sheer passion is electric.”
Former The Only Way Is Essex star Pete Wicks missed out on a place in the final after losing the dance-off to Tasha last weekend.
When asked by host Tess about his time in the competition, Pete said: “It’s been wild. I’ve been quite honest about the fact that I didn’t necessarily want to do this [Strictly] in the first place, but everyone else wanted me to do it, and I am so, so glad that I did it!
“You don’t always have to be the best, but if you enjoy something then why shouldn’t you have a go at it? I’ve tried my best from day one, I said I was in for a penny, in for a pound and I’ve done it, it’s been beautiful.”
Strictly Come Dancing is expected to return in 2025 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
