BECKLEY, W. Va. -The Tamarack is well-known for featuring artists from West Virginia, but in December the marketplace featured a guest from a further north, all the way from the North Pole.

M.r and Mrs. Santa Claus have been visiting with kids at the Tamarack, taking pictures and listening to Christmas wishes. Mrs. Claus even gave the kids a gift bag full of goodies.

The two were very popular, with many families stopping by. We asked Mister and Missus Claus what made them want to take the long journey down south to Beckley.

“Well, West Virginia is one of my favorite stops on my journey every year. It’s such a beautiful place, and I love this place full of all of these wonderful pieces from local artisans and getting to see all of the children…” says Claus, “…Well, we love spreading the magic of Christmas, especially here in Beckley, West Virginia. Such a wonderful place.”

If you would like to stop by the Tamarack to visit Santa, you’ll have one more chance to do so before Christmas. He will be back on Saturday, December 21st. You can find out more on the Tamarack website.
