Usually priced at £32, you can now bag a 70cl of this “warming” tipple for just £20 in a limited time 35 percent off deal. Whether you are looking to treat yourself before Christmas, or you still need a special gift, we’d suggest not missing this deal.

This Scottish single malt has been double matured in American oak barrels with a sherry cask finish. This provides a “sweet” and “smooth” taste that is perfect for those who prefer a bit of a mellower whisky over smoke and peat.

It also boasts a variety of tasting notes that make this a “great all rounder”, says shoppers. Just some flavours include aromas of apple, toffee, honey and sweet marzipan, with pear, creamy peaches, pineapple and demerara sugar.

Averaging an impressive 4.7 rating based on over 10,000 Amazon reviews, the Tamnavulin Speyside Single Malt has earned high praise for its “smoothness”, with some stating that it is “perfect” for drinking during winter.

One whisky fan said: “Love this nip. Lots of depth and character and a very reasonable price. One of my go to drams this winter I reckon.”

A second Amazon review read: “This is a terrific malt and has that character and smoothness which we both love. I made a decision recently to drink less whisky but drink better quality ones when I did. This is just gorgeous and perfect for the long winter nights.”

Someone else added: “There as some simple pleasures in this life and drinking this has to be one of them! Lovely colour and a smooth warming finish, not harsh in the slightest but mellow and fulfilling from the first to the last. I would personally, highly recommend this if you like a slightly sweeter, non smoky whisky with that mellow taste and not the heavy peaty taste of some.”

Another happy customer added: “You cannot go wrong with this good whisky as a daily dram. Punches way above its weight.”

Not everyone has been impressed with the double cask finish, as one disappointed shopper wrote: “Quite a strong Sherry taste with this one. I gave my husband a taste and he thought it was a Bourbon. He was very surprised when I told him it was a single malt.”
