The Airdrie Action Partnership is “working tirelessly” to bring joy to families across Monklands this festive season.

The generous group are in the process of to sorting and packing donated toys and gifts to children, young adults and carers.

Iain Jamieson, chairperson of XACT/Airdrie & Coatbridge 41 Club, one of the teams involved in the Christmas appeal, told Lanarkshire Live: “As chair of an organisation within the town with similar aims and objectives, XACT/Airdrie & Coatbridge 41 Club are extremely proud to be part of the partnership, especially at this time of year.

Airdrie Action Partnership is made up of various community groups, third sector organisations, charities, and council services.

This includes Whinhall Action Group, Whinhall Allotments, Chapelhall Community Development Group, XACT/Airdrie & Coatbridge 41 Club, Bear Necessities, Airdrie Community School Uniform Bank, Airdrie Community Trust and Airdrieonians Football Club, Holemasters Group, Airdrie Citizens Advice Bureau, Airdrie Foodbank, Routes to Work, Cairnlea Church, Salvation Army, Airdrie Kinship, Airdrie Allsorts, Latch on Lanarkshire, Beechbank Toddlers and Muddy Boots, Caledonia Academy martial arts and fitness, VANL, NHS Lanarkshire (health improvement) and North Lanarkshire Council.
