Motorists in Kilmarnock are being warned to expect disruption after the Galleon Leisure Centre closed its car park for resurfacing.
Customers will have to park elsewhere while the work is carried out this week after the leisure centre issued a customer notice this morning, Monday, December 16.
After closing this morning to allow contractors to start on site, the car park will be closed until Friday, December 20 before reopening for customers at the weekend.
A spokesperson for the Galleon Leisure Centre said: “Please note, our car park will be closed from Monday, December 16 to Friday, December 20 for resurfacing work to be carried out.
“Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Opened in 1987, the Galleon Leisure Centre has provided the people of Kilmarnock and surrounding areas with a swimming pool, ice rink, bowling hall, sports hall, squash courts and fitness room following the closure of the former Kilmarnock Baths.
