Davina McCall has revealed a return to work date after celebrating a post brain surgery milestone.
The 57-year-old shared the health update with her fans online after going under the knife earlier this month.
ITV star, Davina filmed herself with a giant grin as she exclaimed: “Hi just a quick update to let everyone know that I’m doing well. And the last couple of days I’ve really, really, really felt miles better and I’ve come in to London today to celebrate one of Michael’s boy’s birthdays, so that’s lovely.”
She added: “And just also wanted to say that the picture of me in the wig was from when we recorded The Masked Singer earlier on this year, it was before my operation. I was fit as a fiddle then, I’m still recovering right now and I’m planning on getting back to work in about a month.”
The star was talking about some snazzy promo pics for her appearance in The Masked Singer, in which she looked almost unrecognisable without her famous long brunette locks. Instead, the presenter rocked a choppy blonde hairdo, with the platinum strands styled in a very short pixie cut, reports the Mirror.

Earlier this month, Davina revealed that she was having surgery to remove a colloid cyst, a rare fluid-filled benign tumour in her brain. She’s kept fans updated since the worrying news, and attended a Christmas event for the Brain Tumour Research Campaign charity on Thursday. In a clip from the event at All Saints Church in Fulham, Davina emotionally opened up about her journey. “I’m crying already, that didn’t go well,” she said, stepping on to the stage. I lost my sis to a brain tumour in 2012,” she continued, before talking about her own diagnosis.
She also thanked her surgeon, Kevin O’Neill, on social media, gushing: “I’m gonna out my surgeon. He is called Kevin O’Neill and he has been amazing. Trying to find somebody who knew about colloid cysts was quite a challenge. Kevin is very experienced as a neurosurgeon. He had done another colloid cyst this year. He has been brilliant. He got the whole thing.”
She continued: “I know I gave him and Mike a scare straight after the op because I was so confused but I am doing so well now. I just wanted to thank him and all the team for taking such good care of me. I’m going to take you and your missus out for an amazing dinner, Kevin.”
