I’m A Celebrity’s Maura Higgins delighted fans last night as she reunited with campmates GK Barry and Dean McCullough to perform a Celine Dion track on stage at Wembley Arena.
The Irish model, 34, appeared on stage at podcaster GK’s Saving Grace XXX-Mas Special, which was filmed at London’s Wembley yesterday evening, and was joined by fellow Irish radio host Dean McCullough.
The trio all met during their time in the jungle on this year’s series of the ITV show but none of them made it through to the final to see Danny Jones being crowned King.
GK, whose full name is Grace Eleanor Keeling, announced Maura and Dean would be among the special guests joining her for the festive special ahead of the show but Maura’s ‘iconic’ performance seemingly came as a surprise to the audience
Re-enacting her camp karaoke moment, which Dean missed due to being the second celeb to be eliminated, Maura took to the mic once more to belt out her rendition of It’s All Coming Back To Me Now.
GK made some savage comments about Maura’s singing voice in the jungle – which she compared to the noise of ‘someone dying’ – and said that she ‘wouldn’t wish Maura singing Celine Dion on my worst enemy’.
Despite this, she appeared to have a change of heart as she invited the Love Island star to the stage on her live podcast to relive the moment all over again.
Dressed in a black blazer dress with a chunky belt and sporting a high slicked back ponytail hairstyle, Maura sent the crowds into a frenzy as she enthusiastically sang along to the track.
Dean and GK supported Maura on stage with their own back up mics as the trio dramatically swayed along while flames erupted for the final chorus of the song.
Several fans in the crowd took to TikTok to share the live moment as user @graciesskinner captioned the video: “And you thought she was just a silly little love islander x”
Maura, who was singing along to the song rather than doing raw karaoke, seemed to fool some fans with her performance as one wrote: “I actually thought oh my god then realised Celine is actually singing in the background.”
Another commented: “When did I miss the chapter of Maura being a stage queen!” While a third praised Maura for her singing efforts, as they remarked: “Not Maura realising she can sing”, alongside laughing emojis.
However, not everyone is convinced that Maura was actually singing at all. Another user wrote: “It’s hilarious that people think they are listening to Maura.” A second added: “You know she’s not singing right?”
Maura’s performance at Wembley comes after she reunited with new beau Pete Wicks following her jungle exit.
Pete made it all the way into the Strictly Come Dancing semi-finals this year with dance partner Jowita Przystal while Maura was braving Ant and Dec’s jungle Bushtucker trials.
