Jennifer Lopez’s commitment to maintaining a healthy lifestyle is well known. The superstar, famous for her singing, dancing and acting, is often spotted at the gym, and she enjoys nutritious meals to fuel her busy lifestyle.

Celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson has previously revealed to PEOPLE that the performer prioritises fresh food. “It’s all organic and it’s all very well thought out, with the balance of very high quality proteins and a lot of nutrient-dense food,” Anderson explained.

She’s also said to be a fan of a very popular breakfast. Speaking to In Touch last year, a source suggested Lopez enjoys ‘avocado toast, granola and berries’. It’s little surprise given avocado is rich in fibre and healthy fats that can help maintain healthy cholesterol levels and possibly reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.

According to research published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, consuming one avocado per week could reduce your risk of developing coronary heart disease by 21 per cent.

It’s important to note the British Heart Foundation emphasises the importance of considering your overall diet rather than focusing on individual foods. They advise eating plenty of vegetables, fruit, fish, pulses and wholegrains, and reducing intake of foods high in salt, sugar and saturated fat like cake, biscuits and sweets to maintain a healthy heart, reports the Mirror.

Victoria Taylor, Senior Dietitian at the British Heart Foundation, added: “Swapping foods with saturated fat, like cheese, butter or fatty meats, for unsaturated fats, like avocado, oily fish, nuts, seeds, olive oil or rapeseed oil, can help maintain healthy cholesterol levels.”

The British Heart Foundation warns that granola also contains fibre, but it’s important to watch out for added sugars and saturated fat. Berries are also packed with fibre and antioxidants, making choices like blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries healthy breakfast additions.
