TBILISI, Georgia (Gray News) – A dozen people have reportedly been found dead at a popular ski resort in the former Soviet republic of Georgia.

According to Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, 12 bodies were discovered on the second floor of an Indian restaurant at the Gudauri ski resort this past Saturday.

Authorities reported finding no signs of body injuries or signs of violence.

The BBC reported that the group died from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.

Police said they found a power generator on the same floor that was turned on the day before after the power was turned off in the area.

The Ministry stated an investigation is continuing into what exactly happened.

Authorities did not immediately identify those who died.
