A sixth year student at NWCC has shown the true spirit of Christmas. Zainne Houston, who is also a member of the school’s Pupil Leadership Team, approached head teacher Mr Smith to ask if he could collect boxes of cereal as part of the Dumfries-based Charity Us 2 U Christmas appeal.
Zainne managed to collect an incredible 412 boxes over three weeks, that were donated by the young people and families of NWCC secondary.
The school is incredibly proud of Zainne for the effort he has gone to and the kindness and care he has shown this Christmas to help those who need it most – a wonderful example to us all. Well done Zainne and thank you to everyone who contributed to this very worthy cause.
