Shoppers are rushing to snap up a luxury perfume that has been heavily reduced in Home Bargains.
The popular ‘Happy’ perfume by high-end cosmetics brand Clinique has seen its price slashed by more than half in the discount shop. Originally costing £75, savvy customers can now get their hands on the fragrance for just £25.99.
Christmas shoppers have pounced on the deal, as more people look for smart ways to celebrate Christmas for less amid the cost-of-living crisis, reports Manchester Evening News.
The retailer describes the “uplifting” scent as “a delightful floral, fruity fragrance for women that bursts with vibrant top notes of orange and grapefruit”, adding that the perfume is “beautifully balanced by floral heart notes and a warm, musky base”.
The perfume has been rated 4.7 stars by hundreds of customers, who shared their satisfaction on Boots’ website, where it still listed at full price.
One shopper gushed “Love the perfume smells fresh my GO TO smell. Worn for years,” while another declared that it is “light and refreshing but very classy.” A third added: “Favourite perfume, light and fresh and makes you happy just wearing it!”
A further devotee stressed: “Lovely fragrance, I use it for daily wear. I have been compliment for it so many time. I noticed it lasts long on clothes rather than on my skin.”
However, not everyone was convinced by the perfume, with several shoppers questioning its staying-power. One reviewer admitted: “The perfume itself smells nice but it’s hardly noticeable and doesn’t last very long, I wouldn’t buy it again.”
