With a variety of stain removers available to buy, it’s hard to know which ones actually do the trick without costing you a fortune. But one savvy cleaner has shared a top-tip for lifting the marks that is guaranteed to save you time and money.
This technique promises to erase even the most tenacious lipstick and sweat stains, making white shirts appear as if they’re “brand new”, and all for no more than £2.10, reports the Mirror.
The cleaning hack maestro, known by his TikTok handle @creative_explained, has garnered over 100 million views for his ingenious advice on how to tackle household chores efficiently and economically. His followers were particularly impressed when he revealed his homemade concoction for the ultimate stain remover solution.
Describing his process, the TikTok star said: “If you mix baking soda with some fresh lemon juice, add some white vinegar, a little bit of dish soap, and water, give it a good shake. You can remove any stains from your clothes. Just add mixture on the stain, grab a toothbrush and brush the stain away. It’s safe, natural, no toxic chemicals, and it works like magic.”
Loads of video viewers have claimed they tried the trick with success. “It worked so well,” one TikTok user exclaimed. Another chimed in with: “Best advice! It worked on lipstick stains!” A third confirmed: “It really worked,” while another wrote, enthusiastically: “I literally tried this on a week old sweat stain I’ve been dying to remove. My shirt looks brand new. You’re the best.”
One more user expressed gratitude, saying: “Dude, you are a life saver. I got a whole list of your stuff I’m gonna apply at my home.” While another shared their own surprise: “Yes this is facts! I use this on my guy’s white shirt and it took out the yellow from the underarms – he was shocked.”
