We all know the value of keeping our teeth clean, but this isn’t an always easy habit to maintain. As well as brushing twice a day, dentists will always recommend flossing to help keep those small gaps free of plaque build up.
However, the faff of this step means many of us often skip it, while others can find that dental floss can lead to bleeding gums. If you fall into either of these categories, you may be interested to learn that Boots has discounted a nifty device to help keep teeth clean in a whizz.
Right now, the high street pharmacy has discounted the Waterpik Cordless Plus Water Flosser from £74.99 down to £30, making for a £44.99 reduction on the original retail price.

Water flossers are the latest cleaning tool sweeping social media right now as an alternative to the classic dental floss. Rather than putting a piece of rope between your teeth to remove plaque and food, these devices offer short, sharp shoots of water to blast any residue away.
The good news is that Boots shoppers can order one and get it in time for Christmas Day, whether you’re getting it for a loved one, or if you’ve decided to up your teeth-cleaning routine in the new year.
The Waterpik uses a combination of water streaming and pulsations to reach deep parts between the teeth that a conventional toothbrush can’t reach, is re-chargeable and comes with two pressure settings, as well as a simple on/off switch.
The purchase also includes four different water flosser tips – one for general use, for cleaning around braces, for implants, crowns, retainers and general use and one tongue cleaner to remove bacteria and help prevent bad breath.
The Waterpik has received a handful of glowing reviews from Boots shoppers, with some quickly noticing a difference to their oral health.
One five star reviewer wrote: “I bought this recently and have been using for one week. The difference is amazing, my breath is fresher and it has really reduced plaque. I struggle to floss due to overcrowding and find this a big help.”
A second exclaimed: “Very surprised at how well this works. Much better than dental floss. Very easy to use.”
However, one person wasn’t entirely satisfied, writing: “Three months in, the Waterpik WP-490UK is going fine and the battery lasts well. It does seem to clean gaps well. One major annoyance is the power button: it’s so resistant to being turned on or off that it makes me want to launch it out the window.”
Shoppers looking for an even cheaper deal may want to consider the H2ofloss Water Flosser for Teeth, currently available on Amazon for £25.99. Smile Therapy also carries the 4 in 1 Wireless Water Flosser, which has been reduced from £69.99 to £29.99.
