Residents have been evacuated from their homes on a Glasgow street amid a suspected gas leak.
Emergency crews were called to the incident on Abbotsford Place in the Cathcart area of the city after receiving the alarm on Wednesday night.
It is understood the suspected leak has come from a neighbouring flat.
The road remains shut off as engineers work to resolve the ongoing issue.
Members of the public have been asked to avoid the area.
A statement from Police Scotland reads: “Abbotsford Place in the Cathcart area of the city is closed following a report of a suspected gas leak at a flat. Emergency services are in attendance and people have been evacuated from neighbouring properties.
“The public is asked to avoid the area while gas engineers work to resolve the issue.”
