Molly Mae Hague has told how her life changed “overnight” amid her messy breakup with Tommy Fury.
The influencer and business owner opened up about the highs and lows of her relationship with the professional boxer. The former Love Island couple, both 25, left fans shocked after they announced their split in August after five years together.
After releasing statements on Instagram, the rumour mill went into overdrive, with Tommy accused of cheating – which he strenuously denied. The first trailer from her Prime documentary series, Molly Mae: Behind It All, released on January 17, shows a series of revelations about the painful relationship breakdown.
In one scene, Molly, who was set to marry Tommy after getting engaged last year, says: “We were utterly obsessed with one another. All I ever wanted was to get married. Suddenly, overnight, every part of my life changed.” The six-part series comes after Molly shared candid admissions on her YouTube channel and her memoir, Becoming Molly-Mae.
In the bestselling 2022 book, the millionaire influencer even got candid about her and Tommy’s bedroom antics, and later admitted they stopped having sex for a long period of time after the birth of Bambi. Molly told how crippling pain caused by endometriosis meant that intimacy was the last thing on her mind.
Stevenage-born Molly wrote: “Before I was with Tommy, I wasn’t really having sex, so I didn’t really think there were any problems other than my period pains. I was suffering horrendous pain – literally feeling like I’d been stabbed in the stomach – just awful. And it was causing me so many issues. Big TMI! But my sex life just became non-existent: it was just not part of our relationship.”
According to the NHS,endometriosis is a long-term condition whereby tissue similar to the lining of a woman’s womb grows in other areas of the body, including the ovaries and fallopian tubes. Symptoms include unusually heavy and/or painful periods, as well as pain during and after sex.
It wasn’t the only time when Molly levelled with fans about her and Tommy’s intimacy issues. In a frank YouTube video made with sister Zoe, Molly confessed that her ‘sex drive was through the roof’ during her pregnancy, while Tommy wasn’t quite as keen.
Molly admitted: “Some men are really into it [sex when their pregnant partner] or some partners will be… Tommy found it quite uncomfortable the thought that Bambi was in there and I was here. It was just a bit weird.” She added: “I remember when I was pregnant and I wanted to have sex all the time and Tommy didn’t I was like, ‘Oh do you not find me attractive?’ But I always say to Tommy if I’m not feeling it, ‘It’s nothing to do with you it’s a me problem’.”
Following their split, Tommy has denied allegations of cheating, including claims that he was seen smooching a blonde Danish woman in a Macedonia nightclub, with a spokesperson previously telling the Mirror: “Tommy is horrified by the false allegations of cheating being circulated by the media and he’s consulting his lawyers.”
