Vile racist graffiti has been daubed on the wall outside a Scots nursery.
Black writing that reads ‘Islam out’ has been sprayed over the wall at Lucky Little Stars Nursery in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. The sickening scrawls are thought to have been etched onto the childrens’ premises at around 12.20am on Monday, December 16.
Staff at the premises said they have been left “disappointed” by the vandalism as they appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
A post on Facebook reads: “I’m deeply disappointed that Lucky Little Stars Nursery has been vandalised again. The car pulled up at 12.20am, if anyone drove past the nursery with a dash cam, can you please contact the nursery on 01389 800180.
“This is the third time our nursery has been vandalised in four months, as you can imagine, it’s upsetting for our staff and families to see this. Any information would be grateful.”
Police confirmed a probe has been launched into the vile incident with officers carrying out patrols of the area. Inquiries are currently at an early stage.
A statement from Police Scotland reads: “We were made aware of offensive graffiti in the Gavins Road area of Clydebank on Monday, 16 December, 2024. Enquiries are at an early stage.
“Officers are carrying out patrols in the area and anyone with information or concerns should speak to officers or contact police via 101 quoting incident number 2576 of 16 December.”
