A hearty band of volunteers have been helping youngsters in Larkhall and the surrounding area enjoy an extra special Christmas.
Larkhall Community Network is a collaboration of charities within the town bringing the voices of the community to decision makers and creating new opportunities for Larkhall.
This year’s toy appeal saw local businesses and groups coming together for the worthwhile cause.
Writing on social media, Elizabeth Armour said: “Our amazing network has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring smiles to children in Larkhall, Ashgill, Netherburn, and Dalserf schools and nurseries.
“A huge thank you to our incredible partners Henry Dorricott Funeral Directors; Quintilliani’s Fish and Chip Shop; Dignity Funeral Service; the Larkhall New Parish Church and congregation; Larkhall Christians Together at the Lighthouse; LTOA Taxis; Chalmers Church for hall space and the Larkhall & District Volunteer Group (LDVG) for providing buses every year.
“And of course, a massive shoutout to the community of Larkhall and all the businesses who donated!
“Special thanks to our volunteers from OPOP ladies Sandra, Jodie, LDVG bus driver Ann and bus escort Alison and Olivia, who help us make this possible every year. You are all heroes!
“Thank you for your support! Together, we make a difference!”
