ROUND ROCK, Texas — Rocksssanne has reached the red light of her career as a Round Rock Public Library “staff member.”

The library announced Thursday that the beloved 28-year-old ball python will retire early in 2025 after 25 years of connecting Round Rockers to nature and inspiring them to embrace their curiosity.

Once Rocksssanne officially retires, her space at the library will transform into an educational aquarium exhibit featuring fish native to Brushy Creek.

The Round Rock Public Library is encouraging the community to visit and celebrate Rocksssanne during her final months among the stacks.
