One of the standout coming-of-age films of recent years is now accessible for streaming at no extra cost for Netflix subscribers.

Debuted in cinemas last year, this poignant drama is based on a beloved novel first published in 1970 that has enchanted countless children and adults alike.

The film features Rachel McAdams and Benny Safdie as parents to a curious daughter, Margaret (portrayed by Abby Ryder Fortson), who experiences a crisis of faith upon discovering her mother is Christian and her father is Jewish.

Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret delves into the intricacies and trials of growing up without a defined religious identity, blending heartfelt moments with humour. It has already won over audiences globally, reports the Mirror.

Despite not making a significant impact at the box office upon its initial release, the full-length adaptation of Judy Blume’s novel garnered glowing reviews and now stands to reach an even wider audience now it’s available on Netflix in the UK.
