West Dunbartonshire looks set to be battered by winds of up to 70mph after the Met Office issued weather warnings for the weekend.
The Met Office had previously issued a warning for throughout much of Saturday – with gusts upwards of 60mph forecast for much of the day.
Another warning has now been issued between midnight at 9pm on Sunday with gusts expected to hit much of Scotland – including West Dunbartonshire, Argyll and Bute, Stirling, Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Perth and Kinross.

The warning extends to Grampian, Highlands & Eilean Siar, SW Scotland, Lothian Borders, Strathclyde as well as parts of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Issuing the yellow weather warning, the Met Office warned that a prolonged period of strong winds will likely lead to some disruption over the weekend, especially to travel.
A forecaster said: “Strong and gusty northwesterly winds are expected to develop on Sunday. Gusts of 50-60mph are expected quite widely, and around some exposed coasts and hills gusts of 70mph are possible, especially in the north and west. In addition, squally showers are likely with some hail and thunder possible in places.
“This has the potential to cause delays to public transport and some disruption to the road network, which may have a greater than usual impact given the busier pre-Christmas weekend travel. Dangerous coastal conditions can be expected too, with large waves an additional hazard.”
