BASTROP COUNTY, Texas — Authorities are looking for two people of interest after a deadly stabbing outside of Austin.
According to the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office, an elderly man was found dead Tuesday morning in the Stony Point area.
The man was later identified as 77-year-old Simon Castillo. According to Sheriff Maurice Cook, Castillo was found with more than 30 stab wounds.
Cook also said Castillo’s SUV, a 1999 beige GMC Sierra with Texas license plates, was also stolen after the attack. An investigation revealed that there was indication the victim and both people of interest knew each other.
The sheriff’s office ask that if you see the men, don’t approach them and immediately call the sheriff’s office.
