A lot of people enjoy baking in their free time.
However, some may like to indulge in it even more after seeing one influencer duo’s clever baking hacks.
Jeff and Lauren, known as @jeffandlaurenshow on Instagram, have taken to the site to share a reel of all their favourite hacks to get the “perfect” baked goods which look professional. And people were loving it – as the post racked up more than 55,000 likes.
The post contained a number of clever tips – including how to get perfectly-measured parchment paper for your baking trays and why you should put a slice of bread in with baked cookies.

The clip started with the parchment paper tip as Lauren showed how to cut it to make it fit the tin perfectly.
She then showed how you can melt chocolate on an upside down pan lid, while Jeff showed how to get the perfect ridges for the edge of a pie.
Lauren also recommended putting rice underneath cupcakes when cooking them in a tray as it “removes excess grease” and showed how you can shake a cookie cutter around the batter to make sure they’re perfectly round.
Viewers were then showed how to “prevent a pie crust from burning” by placing tin foil around it and Lauren recommended cracking an egg on a metal wire to separate the white from the yolk.
The next hack was a piece of white bread placed in with some baked cookies and Lauren claimed it “keeps them soft and chewy”. She also told people not to throw away old berries and instead freeze them in a ziplock bag for “pie mix, smoothies and compote”.
People were loving the tips, with the post racking up more than 55,000 likes.
Many said they followed a few of them already, as one person said: “I always have used the sliced bread trick for cookies.” While another added: “I have been lining my loaf tin like this for over 50 years!”
Meanwhile, someone else was baffled people didn’t know many of the tips, as they said: “When I see videos like this I wonder why so many people don’t know these things? It’s like no one had a grandmother.”
