MERCER COUNTY, W.Va. – The Mercer County Sheriffs’ Office said a person has been detained after the Sheriffs’ Office received calls about a Facebook post showing a disturbing display involving a pet.
The Sheriffs’ Office said the post happened on Dec. 19, and they were able to intervene and detain the person involved in the incident.
The Sheriffs’ Office said they are following judicial protocol, and they thank the community for their diligence in reporting the incidents and for documenting what happened.
