A woman has been arrested in connection with attempting to pervert the course of justice following the death of a dad in Uddingston.

David Graham died from serious neck injuries after he was allegedly attacked in the General’s Gate area of the South Lanarkshire town at around 7.35pm on Sunday, October 6. The 38-year-old was raced to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment but was sadly pronounced dead on arrival.

A 35-year-old woman was today arrested in connection with attempting to pervert the course of justice on Tuesday, October 8, in relation to the death. She has since been released pending further enquiries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Friday, December 20, 2024, a 35-year-old woman was arrested in connection with attempting to pervert the course of justice in relation to the death of David Graham in Uddingston on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. She has since been released pending further enquiries.”

A number of arrests have already been made following David’s death. Liam Kippen, 29, was the first to be arrested and appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court charged with murder.

Kippen, of Motherwell, made no plea or declaration. He was remanded in custody while the case was committed for further examination.

The second man to be arrested in connection with the death was 41 years old, but was released pending further enquiries. A 28-year-old who was then detained in connection with the death was also later released.
