A teenager’s extravagant Christmas wishlist has left people “speechless” with the lavish gifts totalling thousands of pounds.
With Christmas just a week away, the rush to tick off the final items on our lists intensifies as delivery slots become scarce and stores swell with last-minute shoppers.
Knowing exactly what to buy for your loved ones can ease the stress significantly, so when they give you a detailed list of what to pick, it is usually a good thing. But one teenager set the bar extremely high, choosing 43 items on her list, including two separate requests for cash, reports the Mirror.
The 13-year-old, from Australia, had her list shared on X, formerly Twitter, by a shocked relative last year. Her demands ranged from high-end tech gadgets to designer apparel and luxury beauty products, featuring premium labels such as Skims, Drunk Elephant, Dior, Lululemon, Nike, Charlotte Tilbury, and more.
Her aunt revealed the expansive list on social media, with the letter stating: “My 2023-24 Xmas wishlist. Dior lip oil, converse, baby blue puffy vest, Lululemon, tooth jems, pink Nike dunks, lanyard, false lashes, Macbook Pro, rings, body board, cute candles, money, silk pillowcase, facial ice globes, Charlotte Tilbury products, Rare Beauty blush.
“Drunk Elephant bronzing drops, new vanity, Frank Green and Stanley water bottle, Led lights, Apple watch, Gisou lipgloss, portable charger, Apple airpods, Nike shorts, Dior conclear, silk pjama’s, new Ipad, Nike socks, wide leg jeans, Squishmallows, denim skirt, mascara, Gucci perfume, Amazon gift card, Mecca gift cards, Nirvana clothes, weighted blanket, ‘blue roller rabbit pj’s size 14’, acrylic nails (real ones), Skims, money, Uggs (low).”
People were quick to express their astonishment at the extravagant list. One person said: “I stopped reading after Dior lip oil because what?!” Another quipped: “Wish list because she going to keep on wishing. You’re getting a Barbie doll and crackle nail polish.”
Someone else reminisced: “Dude, when I was this young, my Christmas lists were just Call of Duty, Legos, and Pokemon cards what the f**k.” One X user said: “Skims for a 13 year old is actually wild,” while another stated: “This entire list is due to TikTok.”
The cost also raised eyebrows, with one adding: “This list is like £3,000!” However, not everyone was critical.
A defender of the teen said: “I grew out of toys when I was 11. Does this list mean she’s gonna get everything she wants? Absolutely not, but people need to realise that 13 year olds are gonna have evolving tastes.”
