A man was punched and slashed in the face inside a Brooklyn subway station Friday night, police said.
The unknown assailant first hit the 50-year-old in the face, then slashed him in the face on the stairs to the platform of the York St. F train station, at Jay and York Sts., in DUMBO around 11 p.m.
The victim was transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, in Park Slope, in stable condition.
It was unclear if the assault was random or targeted. There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
