Officials are looking for ways to improve congestion on MoPac between Cesar Chavez and Slaughter Lane.

AUSTIN, Texas — There will be additional time for drivers to weigh in on the future of MoPac Expressway.

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) has extended the public input period to Jan. 28. Comments may be submitted through the virtual open house, by email, or by mail.

Officials are looking for ways to improve congestion on MoPac between Cesar Chavez and Slaughter Lane, a critical 8-mile stretch of road that CTRMA says attracts up to 200,000 vehicles per day between the mainline and frontage roads. The corridor also holds a linkage point that connects it to both Loop 360 and US 290.

Exhibits can be viewed online at this link.
