It’s officially Christmas next week, which means that quite a few of us might need to be making a dash to the high street for last-minute essentials.

Since not many of us want to deal with the hustle and bustle of Christmas Eve, we like to try and ensure we are prepared well in advance. The same can be said for Boxing Day, as there is nothing better than lying in after the festivities.

However, even with the best intentions, we often find we need to head to the shops during the already hectic week. However, similar to supermarkets, many of our favourite retailers operate at different hours during this time.

While many remain open at later hours on the last week, they do tend to close early on Christmas Eve, with some even keeping their doors closed right through until December 27, giving staff time to spend the holidays with loved ones.

To help make sure you are fully stocked on the day before and after Christmas, we have provided below a full snapshot of the high street firms that have so far confirmed their Christmas Eve and Boxing Day opening hours. We will update the list when we have more information.
