A man who lost his life in a car crash earlier this month has been named by police. Scott McFadden was involved in the collision on Monday, December 16.
The 38-year-old was the passenger in a car being driven in Port Glasgow on the day in question. Police Scotland said it took place at about 9.55pm in the town’s Clune Brae.
The force said the Volkswagen Golf he was a passenger in struck a parked and unoccupied Peugeot car, and Mr McFadden was unfortunately pronounced death at the scene.
The force said a 50-year-old woman was arrested and released from custody, pending further enquiries. She was taken to hospital for treatment.
Sergeant Robert Mackie, of the Road Policing Unit in Dumbarton, said: “Our thoughts are with Scott McFadden’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“Our enquiries into the full circumstances of this collision are ongoing. I would urge anyone who may have information who has not yet spoken to police to contact 101, quoting reference number 3838 of 16 December.”
