LEE COUNTY, Fla. (Gray News) – A man is accused of threatening a woman with a machete during a road rage incident in Florida.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an intersection “in reference to a disturbance” on Dec. 16.
When they arrived, they learned there was an altercation after Phillip Mark Zmijewski, 33, allegedly tailgated and flashed their lights towards another driver. The encounter lasted several blocks before escalating at the intersection.Zmijewski stepped out of his car while “wielding a machete” and approached the other driver, who said they were scared for their life.
Zmiijewski fled the scene but deputies later found and arrested him for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
