A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of Jamie Lucas in Airdrie.
As reported yesterday by Lanarkshire Live, police officers were called to Stirling Street in the town at around 2.45am on Sunday.
Mr Lucas was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
The 21-year-old is expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court tomorrow, December 24.
Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Campbell said: “My thoughts remain with Jamie’s family and friends. We continue to offer them support at this very difficult time.
“I’d like to thank members of the local community for their support during our investigations.
“Anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police is asked to come forward.
