TV favourite Lorraine Kelly is making an anticipated comeback to her ITV show, where she’ll be bringing along her four-month-old granddaughter, Billie, and pet dachshund, Ruby.
The seasoned presenter, aged 65, will light up televisions with a Christmas Day special slated for a 9am start on ITV1. The holiday edition promises to sparkle with the presence of Coronation Street’s Jane Danson, chart-topper and internet phenomenon KSI, alongside a pre-taped chat with Tinseltown luminary Katy Perry.
Carrying on with the customary format, Lorraine will welcome the familiar faces of Dr Hilary, Dr Amir, and Mark Heyes, while adding a dash of star-studded finesse with entertainment ace Ross King. To sweeten the festive mood even further, viewers will feast their eyes on Lorraine sharing a yuletide tune with Scottish crooner Marti Pellow and the Change + Check Choir.
Back in September, a jubilant Lorraine announced the arrival of her first grandchild as daughter Rosie welcomed baby Billie into the world. Ecstatic, she took to Instagram to express her elation.
Her post exclaimed: “I have been BURSTING to share this wonderful news with you! Baby Billie is an angel and I’m so proud of @rosiekellysmith and @stevewhite94 who will be the best parents. I’m delighted to be Granny Smith and can’t wait to go on adventures. #love #joy #happiness #family”, reports the Mirror.
She shared Rosie’s own words: “Posted with @withregram @rosiekellysmith Baby Billie Kelly Smith-White is here 29-08-2024. It feels like she’s been here the whole time and we’re not quite sure what the point of anything was before.
“I’d heard how amazing midwives are but they are genuinely walking angels – she’s been welcomed into the world with so much love already.”
During her festive special, Lorraine will not only be doting on her grandchild Billie, but also grilling her guests about what they’ve got brewing. Chatting to musician and YouTube sensation KSI, Lorraine delves into his fresh gig on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.
KSI spills the beans: “It was amazing; I had the time of my life, got to see all sorts of talent. It was also funny as well, I don’t want to spoil it but I got to see a lot of funny talent.”
Quizzed by Lorraine on his judging style, “Were you sort of verging on more Simon Cowell-esque, than nicey nicey? ” KSI admits: “Yes… I guess I was maybe a bit too harsh at some points but I meant well.”
