A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Jamie Lucas in Airdrie.
Brandon McLachlan, 21, appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Tuesday, December 24.
Jamie, 33, was found injured in the North Lanarkshire town’s Stirling Street at 4.45am on Sunday.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow but sadly died a short time later.
McLachlan, from Airdrie, was charged with murder, and also with being in possession of a bladed or pointed article in a public place.
He also faced a third charge pertaining to alleged threatening or abusive behaviour.
McLachlan made no plea or declaration in relation to all three charges.
He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
He will appear again within eight days.
