Formula One icon Michael Schumacher‘s daughter Gina has announced she is expecting her first child.
She shared the joyful news on Instagram with a photo of one of her horses adorned with pink balloons, a sign reading “My new rider coming April 2025” and sporting a charming headband that read “Oh baby.”
Gina, who recently tied the knot with her partner Iain Bethke at the Schumacher family’s villa in Spain, captioned the delightful announcement alongside the images: “Impatiently awaiting the arrival of our little girl.”
Fans were quick to flood the comments section with well-wishes for the expectant parents reports OK! “So happy for you both,” wrote one follower. Another exclaimed, “Oh my god I’m crying. Congratulations.”
A third shared: “Congratulations to you all, such exciting times.” With an impressive 335k followers on Instagram, Gina married Iain this past September at their holiday home in Port d’Andratx, which was purchased by the Schumacher family in 2017 for £27 million.
There have been reports suggesting that Gina’s dad Michael attended the wedding despite his ill health. The German racing driver is celebrated for his seven Formula One World Drivers’ Championship titles before he retired from the sport in 2012.
He suffered life-altering injuries in a ski accident back in 2013, including a severe brain injury. Since then, his adoring wife Corinna has continued to shield her husband, ensuring much of his life remains private.

However in a Netflix documentary about Michael’s journey, she made an uncommon statement regarding her husband. “‘Private is private’, as he always said. It’s very important to me that he can continue to enjoy his private life as much as possible,” Corinna remarked. “Michael always protected us and now we are protecting Michael.”
Meanwhile, Gina has taken to social media with zeal, frequently sharing updates on her equestrian career. Her posts showcase clips of her horseback riding in competitions, alongside beautiful snaps of her horses and their stables.
Beyond her passion for animals, she shared a heartfelt photograph from her wedding. “Forever yes to you, yes to forever,” she captioned, engaging her followers.
