Rob Cross has sparked a social media trial after being accused of making a rude gesture at the Ally Pally.
The 2018 World Champion was involved in his second-round match against Scott Williams when the alleged incident took place. The 34-year-old was walking off the stage at the end of the second set with the Sky TV cameras following his walk to the steps as he left before an interval in play during his World Darts Championship showdown.
As he did so, the Londoner glanced back out towards the area housing the crowd and made a motion which was captured by the cameras. Immediately, a clip of the moment was shared and spread across social-media with various individuals claiming it was of a rude nature. Cross went on to lose the match to Williams as he was defeated 3-1 by his stablemate and friend.
